PRIVACY POLICY
Your camera is personal.
SpectralCam processes the live camera image and Vision effects on your iPhone. Photos and videos are not uploaded by SpectralCam unless you deliberately choose to publish a post to Gallery.
Camera, photos, depth, and motion
SpectralCam requests camera access to create its live view and captures. It requests permission to add captures to your Photos library. On supported devices, it may use depth sensors and motion sensors to create Depth and Motion Visions. This live processing happens on your device.
Gallery
Gallery is optional. When you open it, SpectralCam creates an anonymous technical account identifier so posts, reports, blocks, and deletions can be associated with your installation. SpectralCam does not ask for an email address or password for this identity.
If you publish, we store the creator name and post name you enter, your description, Vision category and layer information, the editable Vision recipe, and any photo, video, or preview image you choose. For media, we also store technical details such as dimensions and video duration. Gallery posts and media are publicly visible to other Gallery users.
Reports and blocked creators
If you report a post, we store the post identifier, your anonymous account identifier, the selected reason, and any details you provide. If you block a creator, we store the two anonymous account identifiers needed to hide that creator from your Gallery.
Service providers
Gallery account, database, and media storage services are provided by Supabase. Apple separately processes TestFlight diagnostics and feedback according to Apple’s own privacy practices.
Tracking, advertising, and sale of data
SpectralCam does not include advertising, does not sell personal information, and does not use Gallery information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Retention and choices
Photos and videos saved to your library remain under your control. A Gallery post remains available until you delete it or it is removed for safety or legal reasons. Reports and block records may be retained as needed to operate and protect Gallery. You can avoid Gallery collection by not opening or publishing to Gallery.
Children
SpectralCam is not directed to children under 13. Do not publish personal information about children to Gallery.
Questions or deletion requests
During beta testing, use TestFlight’s Send Beta Feedback feature and include “Privacy” or “Deletion Request” in the first line. We may ask for limited information needed to identify the relevant Gallery post or anonymous account.
Changes
We may update this policy as SpectralCam changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
